The Indian Native dog

The Indian Native dog or more commonly known as the Pariah dog or Desi dog is one of the few remaining primitive breeds in the world.
(Other primitive breeds are the Dingo, Caanan dog, Basenji, Carolina dog, Papua New Guinea singing dog)

King Tommy is an Indog-mix.
The pure Indian Native dog can be found in remote villages in India where they live as free ranging dogs. They guard houses or cattle in exchange for food. Some live in the wild. They are “dog made” as in they are not part of a breeding programme and they go on heat only once per year.

To me, they are the most intelligent and beautiful dogs. Made for survival and freedom.
King Tommy is the ambassador of the Indian Native dogs and we are proud to be part of this journey, encouraging respect and interest for this often neglected ancient breed.
